Nothing brings the family together like camping in the great outdoors. But do you really want to give your young child a full sized sleeping bag? After all, they are going to have three or four feet of just empty space at the bottom of it. When camping room is at a minimum, you need to look towards a kid's sleeping bag. These kids sleeping bags are smaller, don't take up much room, and it really helps your child feel special as it is their own sleeping bag, nobody else's.
Like any other sleeping bag, it is important to look at the temperature grade of the bag. Some bags are good for warm weather camping trips while others are better for cooler temps. You probably aren't going to be camping in Nepal with your seven year old, but just in case, make sure the bag is set for what the temp is likely to be outside.
Outside of the temp, you can have your child sit down with you and help pick out the perfect bag. With different designs and looks, there is a kids sleeping bag that is sure to fit whatever kind of look they are going for.
